Use Your Meal Plan Flex Dollars on Grubhub

Your flex dollars have even more flex! Any meal plan with flex dollars can now be used to order pick-up at Berkeley Dining campus restaurants and convenience stores and anywhere Grubhub is accepted in town, out of town, or while traveling. Have a meal plan with meal swipes? Use your meal equivalency swipe on Grubhub, too.

Berkeley Dining Locations on Grubhub

Use flex dollars from any meal plans (including student and faculty/staff plans) at all locations noted below. Use meal swipes from any meal plan as a meal equivalency at certain locations. It’s a quick, easy way to order and pay for your food. And you’ll automatically get access to Grubhub+ at no extra cost.

Using Your Meal Plan on Grubhub

How to use your flex dollars at Berkeley Dining campus restaurants and convenience stores, or where Grubhub is offered: 

• Step 1: Download the Grubhub app and create your account
• Step 2: Tap Account > Campus Dining > and find the University of California, Berkeley
• Step 3: Select Add Affiliation > Select if you’re a student, faculty, staff, or guest
• Step 4: Choose “Add Campus Card” and enter CalNet authentication*
• Step 5:  
  • To order pickup from a campus restaurant or convenience store:
    • Select “Pickup”
    • Next to Pickup, click the drop-down menu that says “Show all” and select “Berkeley Dining” to only show Berkeley Dining locations
    • Choose a location
    • “View the Full Menu” if using flex dollars, or “Meal Equivalency Menu” if using meal swipes (only available at select locations noted above)
    • Place your order
    • Choose “Continue to Checkout”
  • To order from any Grubhub location:
    • Use either “Delivery” or “Pickup”
    • Explore food locations and options
    • Place your order
    • Choose “Continue to Checkout” 

• Step 6: On the “Select a payment method” screen choose from the drop-down menu:
  • Berkeley Dining Flex Dollars
  • Berkeley Dining Meal Equivalency (you have a meal plan with meal swipes)
  • Berkeley Dining Meal Equivalency + Flex Dollars (you have a meal plan with meal swipes)
  • Other payment options: credit or debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and more.
• Step 7: If picking up at a Berkeley Dining location, follow the “Grubhub Pickup” signs. 
• Step 8: Get ready to enjoy!

Please note that your flex dollars can only be used on Grubhub for food and beverage purchases. Flex dollars cannot be used for any alcohol or tobacco products.
